Another world is possible

If you’re following the mainstream online business advice, marketing probably feels transactional, uncomfortable or pushy - or it feels like a content creation hamster wheel you’re trapped on and can’t get off.

But when you focus on relationships, marketing can be beautiful: relational, organic and generative.

When we band together and share our audiences (however tiny - alignment matters more than size!) and connections with one another, another world opens up. We don’t have to keep shouting into the void - we can have intimate conversations with people who really want to hear our point of view.

Marketing really can feel like hanging out with your friends. Expand Your Business Ecosystem is here to help you to find more aligned business partnerships, so you can increase your reach and find more subscribers and more ideal clients.

Even just one really aligned partnership can double your audience or fill your client roster.

“I met some great people, booked new podcast interviews and became clearer about the value and place for networking in my work. I realised that making an invitation is so much easier than I think!

Compared to other business development work I’ve done, it felt much more collaborative, gentle and immersive at the same time. I loved not wading through a lot of content, but instead getting to what I wanted to do.”

How does Expand Your Business Ecosystem work?

It’s a group programme - and much of its power is derived from the group itself.

You’ll meet people - not just because you attend the same Q&A calls - but also in small group mini-mastermind Circle calls where you’ll get to know everyone on the call.

And you’ll be able to browse member profiles, so that you can easily find out a bit more about your fellow participants.

We’re co-creating the world we want to be part of - one where we all get to gently expand our ecosystems together, one aligned partnership at a time.

“I’ve loved the community of people and the gentle nudge and the space to think in these really cooperative, collaborative ways.

It’s been really exciting and fun. I'm feeling very buoyed and not alone.” — Michelle Puckett

Let’s weave a web of support for your business

Hey there, I’m Sophy. I’m a relational marketing mentor.

I help online business owners to stop feeling like the internet’s best-kept secret. Collaborations are the secret sauce of relationship-based marketing - they create the rising tide that lifts all boats. Together we can create a win: win: win situation where your partnerships are a win for you, for your collaborator and for both of your audiences.

“I think something has energetically shifted because I’m seeing opportunities for connection all over the place!

I feel energized about this part of my business for the first time in a long time, and I can see how, now that I have a very clear and specific goal and some strategies behind it, I can better filter opportunities and connect with folks in a way that feels likely to help me meet my goals, instead of just randomly connecting with folks and then not knowing what to do about it or how to follow up. Wow!

Expand Your Business Ecosystem is a 4-week accelerator to help you find aligned partners and collaborators.

You’ll be able to put your offer in front of new audiences, increasing your reach and allowing a steady flow of new subscribers and clients to find you.

You’ll be part of a small community of fellow business owners you can partner with, who are also looking for collaborators, plus you’ll get training on the different kinds of collaborations you can do, how to find aligned partners (both inside and outside of the program), how to pitch, etc.

The programme has 6 layers of support to help you to grow your business through aligned partnerships:

  • So you can learn best practices and find out about all the options available to you (I’m at 30+ different kinds of collaboration and still adding new ideas).

  • These small group calls are at the heart of the programme and will allow you to get to know fellow participants in a low-pressure way, while also getting hot seat coaching.

  • You’ll be put in a group of 3-5 other participants and will meet 3 times together during the programme - to brainstorm collab ideas and plan your next steps.

  • Ask your questions and get asynchronous help within 2 biz days, so you never have to wait too long to move forward (and so you’re not held back if you can’t make the weekly live Q&A).

  • Easily access info on the websites and contact details for all the participants in the programme.

Even if you can’t make most of the live calls, you can work out who you would like to get to know better, and you’ll know that they’re also (at least theoretically) interested in collaborations.

  • Two coworking sessions so you can experience a bit of accountability and the magic of body doubling within the programme. Get into immediate momentum while the pr

“I gained both practical, actionable strategies and deeper insights into my next steps for sustainable growth.

The community aspect exceeded my expectations. I connected with interesting people and every call felt purposeful - the group size allowed for real engagement, and there was a rare alignment of shared values across participants.

Beyond the strategic value, I felt genuinely supported throughout. There was this beautiful, and somewhat unusual, feeling of belonging - like I'd found my people. I'm genuinely sad the program has wrapped.

I realized how much I've previously relied on social media to attract clients and why that approach has been so hit or miss. Instagram felt like a shiny object for a long time. I kept thinking the key to success was getting bigger there - more followers, more reach. EYBE confirmed what I'd already started to understand: going deeper rather than wider is infinitely more beneficial.

For the first time in a long time, I feel genuine optimism about the future of my business. There's this sense that I can build something successful while honoring a path that feels aligned for me, and not just the incessant feeding of an always-hungry algorithm.

This program felt values-led from the start. I also loved that (in the best possible way!) none of it was rocket science. It was solid but simple. And at the heart of it was the importance of humans talking (and listening) to one another. There are so many strategies and "secrets" we think we have to buy into. EYBE didn't make those kinds of promises but it delivered in a really meaningful way.

It was the perfect length. A month gave us the opportunity to get to know each other as a group. I was able to implement some feedback in the early part of the program which then led to some more questions/possibilities. But because the group was still in session, I could still get support around things as they shifted. It was exceptional.

Here’s what you come away with after our time together:

  • A deeper understanding of exactly how partnerships can help you grow your business in a way that feels natural, authentic and fun

  • You’ll have been introduced to over 30 different kinds of collaboration so you can pick the ones that are the best fit for you

  • You’ll have met lots of other small business owners who are also actively looking for collaborations and partnerships at the moment

  • You’ll have had four weeks in which to ask an expert all the questions you have about how to make collabs work for you

  • Momentum from being in a time-limited container - no more procrastinating and letting relationship-building slide to the bottom of your to do list

  • Insights into the value you can bring to collabs, even if you have a tiny audience and/or you haven’t been in business that long

Enlivening, encouraging, essential!

I’ve absolutely loved being part of Expand Your Business Ecosystem. I already had a lush ecology of peers and pals, but was noticing I had gotten out of the habit of forming *new* connections. I’ve especially been thinking about this in the context of leaving social media this year. Sophy has introduced me to people who I’d never otherwise have met -  we’ve uncovered surprising shared histories and possibilities are brewing. There’s a culture of generosity, it’s been easy, fun and more than safe enough.”

What is the community like?

Here’s what the previous cohort had to say about their fellow participants:

“In contrast to other courses I’ve taken, relationships in this program were just so much deeper. This was easily one of the best group investments I've made since becoming self-employed.”

“It was inspiring to see how strongly other people embraced the spirit of community as well.”

“This felt like a group of experienced people sharing without the sense of lack or constant pressure.”

  • Service-based business owners, such as coaches, with high-touch, 1:1 or small group programmes. I’ve worked with leadership coaches, nutritionists, massage therapists, public speaking coaches, content writers, web designers, business coaches, systems consultants, artists, meditation teachers, PR consultants, educators, health coaches and money coaches.

If you have a business which requires people to open their hearts to you in some way, then my approach should be a good fit for you. If, on the other hand, you manufacture widgets, or you’re a consultant who is tendering for big government projects, this won’t be the right fit.

  • It is a 4-week program, running from Monday 13th April until Friday 8th May.

  • There are weekly Q&A calls from 6-7.30pm UK time each Monday; Co-working calls from 2-4pm UK time on Wed 22 and Wed 29 April and you will be able to choose your time slots for your mini-mastermind calls from options on Tuesdays or Thursdays in Weeks 2, 3 and 4.

  • I would recommend allowing around 3 hours each week for the 4 weeks of the programme. This would give you time to come to the weekly Q&A calls, watch the pre-recorded videos and participate in the mini-Mastermind Circles.

That said, you might want to spend more time getting to know more of your fellow participants in the programme - or you might not want to come to all the Q&A calls - so YMMV.

  • Yes, if you come to the Q&A calls, you can get coaching from Sophy (plus support from the rest of the group). You can also ask questions in the forum (which means that you don’t need to be free for a specific call time to get your question answered).

Also, if you join via the waitlist, you’ll get a small group follow up call, 4 weeks after the programme has ended, for further accountability and hot seat coaching.

  • Yes. There are videos and resources explaining how collabs can best work, what kinds of options you can pick, how to choose the right collaborators etc.

Also, you can ask questions on the Q&A calls, or in the forum and talk through your ideas with your mini-mastermind fellow members.

  • I am also an introvert (as are the vast majority of my clients) so I have designed the programme to have plenty of small group support and also asynchronous support via the forum. There’s no element of mass group networking on alls (and absolutely no ‘fun’ ice breakers)!

“Before I started working with Sophy I wasn't very excited about my marketing if I'm honest, and it's historically been one of my least favourite things about running a small business.

Sophy's gentle encouragement to think about things differently has definitely been a lightbulb moment. I feel like I'm making actual connections instead of just trying to find new spangly ways to talk about what I do. Marketing through a relationship-first lens means I can feel me in the efforts I make and I actually do the things that gently nudge my business forward.

There's been some much needed lightness and dare I say it - enjoyment - in my marketing and that's a massive leap forward. Thankyou Sophy! ”
