Are We A Fit?
My clients are often purpose-driven small business owners and work with me when they’re ready to start writing a game-changing book.
If you want to turn the Intellectual Property you’ve developed over the years into a book that has longevity and real impact, I might be the book coach for you.
I’m also a developmental editor and do manuscript appraisals for novels, memoirs and other narrative non-fiction.
My clients work for the common good
I work with changemakers who inspire me every day: coaches, healers, artists, activists and social entrepreneurs who want to lead movements for change.
A common thread between my clients is that they want their businesses to be high impact, high integrity and high income.
Authors & Speakers
I work with business-owners on a mission, who are ready to step on to a larger stage. This may be a literal stage (keynotes and TED Talks here you come!) and it probably means publishing your first book and embarking on a podcast tour or doing a PR blitz. I also work as a developmental editor on novels, memoirs and other narrative non-fiction.
Healers, coaches & therapists
Clients include somatic coaches, osteopaths, craniosacral therapists, yoga and meditation teachers, mindfulness coaches, movement coaches, nutritionists and psychotherapists.
Creatives, consultants & innovators
I’ve worked with countless entrepreneurs, artists, web designers, educational consultants, graphic designers, e-course creators, systems consultants, facilitators and educators.
We probably share similar views on important things:
You’re an advocate of thinking globally and acting locally.
Justice, inclusion and equity matter to you.
You have an intersectional understanding of the world - you know that everything is connected: climate justice, anti-capitalism, anti-racism, biodiversity, feminism...
You’re completely turned off by the hustle culture of mainstream online marketing. You don’t want growth for the sake of growth - but you do have a message that you want to get out there.
Building community is important to you.
I’m a bit different from most book coaches - & not just because I have a specialism in non-fiction books by business owners
One thing to note is that my background is in book publishing, which is not the case for all book coaches (nor should it necessarily be - but if you want publishing and editorial expertise, make sure you work with someone who has relevant experience and/or training).
I’m also a serial entrepreneur and have worked as a copywriter, marketing strategist and business coach - which means I can bring a whole extra layer of business strategy, messaging and launch planning into our work together.
My clients tell me that this approach feels very supportive, like they have a thought partner on tap, who’s completely on their side. Writing a book can be quite an intense experience (full disclosure, there are often tears involved), so you want to be sure you have a guide by your side whom you feel you can trust.
